CHICAGO — The Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure is returned to Chicago Saturday to fundraise and educate the public on breast cancer.
It was 25th anniversary of the events and it returned to in person participation, after two years of virtual gatherings.
Under sunny skies at Chicago’s Soldier Field, 2,000 runners and walkers participated in the 5K to raise money for the Susan G Komen Organization.
The race raised a half million dollars
Proceeds will be donated to Komen’s mission, fund groundbreaking research and give direct support to those battling breast cancer.
