Saturday Forecast: slight chance of t-storms to the South, low of 68 overnight


Tonight:
Mostly cloudy skies, a bit muggy, and some showers. A very slight chance of isolated thunderstorms mostly in the far south and west suburbs. Air quality is in the Moderate category for Chicagoland. SW 10-15 mph.

Sunday:
Some lingering AM showers, but some midday clearing is possible before a second round of active weather moves in. T’storms grow more likely during the late afternoon through the evening hours. Some of these south of I-80 could end up being strong to severe. SW 10-15 mph.
Highs: mid 80s
Monday:
A few lingering showers, but some nice afternoon clearing. NE 5-10 mph.
High 80 inland, mid to upper 70s by the lake.
Extended outlook calls for warmer temps near 90 and partly sunny skies on Tuesday with a slight chance of a.m. thunderstorms. Summer 2022 finishes up on Wednesday with a cold front breezing with highs getting to about 80 before temps tumble in the afternoon. Things a bit cooler for Thursday for the fall equinox with highs only getting into the upper 60s and a lot of clouds. A tad warmer on Friday and Saturday with highs near 70 and some more sunshine.
