Police: Woman shot in face on South Side

CHICAGO — A woman was shot Monday on the South Side.

At 1:55 p.m. in the 5000 block of South Drexel, police said a 38-year-old woman was inside of an apartment when she was shot in the face.

The woman was transported to the University of Chicago Medical Center in fair condition.

No suspects are in custody.
