Online Grocery Startup Promises ‘Supah’ Fast Delivery Within 15 Minutes
A new Filipino startup is trying to change the way you do online grocery shopping. With the new ‘Supah’ app, you can get your delivery super fast — within 15 minutes!
What is Supah?
Supah is an online grocery app that promises to make quick deliveries. According to the startup, “We’re on a mission to make ordering faster because you deserve better.”
To use it, download the Supah app via Apple App Store or Google Play. Browse through their catalogue of grocery products and brands. Make the order online and expect the delivery within 15 minutes. It’s as easy as that!
As of now, Supah offers items such as condiments, fresh produce, dry and frozen foods, snacks, toiletries, and other common grocery items. It covers the area of Makati, BGC, Taguig, Pasig, Mandaluyong, San Juan, Binondo, New Manila, and Timog.
Supah falls under the social commerce startup SariSuki. Both startups are supported by Brian Cu, co-founder and former CEO of Grab Philippines, and Lance Gokongwei, president and CEO of JG Summit.
Supah aims to elevate grocery shopping
Online shopping has rapidly increased due to the pandemic. Many establishments have found themselves moving towards e-commerce because many customers find it more convenient to buy online. According to Supah’s co-founder, they understand the importance of time and convenience so they want to make grocery shopping as hassle-free as possible. Plus, their connections to suppliers and vendors make shopping affordable too.
“Our business puts tremendous value on our customers’ time and needs. We see doing the grocery as effortless, time-saving, and economical, while still making it possible to attend to other things. Thanks to our efficient ecosystem of suppliers, vendors, and riders, we are able to fulfill this commitment without a delivery fee,” Cu was quoted on Esquire.
Cu added that while they’re looking at expanding SariSuki outside Luzon, they will focus Supah’s operation in the region. They have a target to increase their users by at least three times their current number to increase usage frequency.
“We want high frequency purchasing on the platform — once a week is a very good number and that would be achieved if we get the product mix and service levels right,” he said.
Meanwhile, Gokongwei is confident that there’s so much ahead for Supah. He assured that they will be working to improve its speed, convenience, and other factors. The co-founder said Supah has the potential to change the way we do grocery shopping.
“Supah offers great potential as it tries to address the consumers’ evolving needs in grocery shopping by finding the optimal balance among several critical factors like speed, assortment, value, and convenience. This innovative technology will help shape the future of grocery shopping in the country,” Gokongwei said.
