CHICAGO — U.S. Senator Dick Durbin (D-IL) says he has secured federal funding to help a local legal center.
A press release from his office states the funding will go to the Lawndale Christian Legal Center to, “support and enhance community-based legal services to juveniles and young adults in the North Lawndale Neighborhood.”
Durbin is set to hold a press conference to officially announce the funding and discuss its impacts. The event is scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday from the center.
