Former Chicago Mayor Richard Daley hospitalized

CHICAGO — Former Chicago Mayor Richard M. Daley is hospitalized at Northwestern, undergoing tests.

Those who have spoken to him say he is alert and in good spirits. He is expected to remain in the hospital until test results come back.

WGN News has learned that Daley wasn’t feeling well and family encouraged him to go to the hospital to get checked out.

Daily turned 80 in April.
