CHICAGO — An 8-year-old boy is dead following a shooting on Chicago’s South Side, police said.
The shooting occurred on the 3800 block of S. Rhodes Ave. According to police, the boy was inside a home with other individuals when the shooting occurred.
The child, who police said was shot in the head, was taken to Comers Children’s Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
